CHARLOTTESVILLE Va (CBS19 NEWS) – The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA has received another 50 beagles from Cumberland’s Envingo facility.
Beagles are ready to be placed in foster families.
“We were there today and brought them back to Charlottesville and they will all come out to favor today and tomorrow.
So you know we’ll gladly accept donations to care for these adorable puppies.
The thing I noticed today was how eager they were to have human contact and more than some dogs I’ve seen so they want to be touched by humans and of course they are barkers.
Beagles are barkers, so when you walk away from them they want you back, but they look like happy, healthy animals just by sight. -Angie Gunter, CEO.
The transfer plan was submitted by the Department of Justice and Envigo RMS LLC, with the agreement of the Humane Society of the United States to assume responsibility for coordinating the placement.
Officials say the transfer will be done in stages over the next 60 days.
Those interested can visit here on the CASPCA website.
People can also enter and visit during opening hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There are other animals to adopt such as cats and other dogs.
