Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young had a ‘real petting bunny’ with her kids for Easter

On April 18, Tarek El Moussa shared a instagram post about how he and Heather Rae Young celebrated Easter with her kids. He posted several photos of his family holding and playing with real rabbits.

“We had such a fun Easter!!” El Moussa wrote in the caption. “We started the day by surprising the kids with bunny petting in real life! It was so cute especially when the bunnies kept peeing on the kids🤣🤣🤣”

Young shared a similar message instagram Publish. In her caption, she said bunnies could become an annual tradition. “I think we may have added a new lore with the bunnies!!” she wrote. “The kids loved it so much they lit up when I saw them and it was a really special thing we did.”

Fans are furious with Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young for using real animals as ‘props’ at their Easter party

Many Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young fans are upset with the couple for using live animals during their Easter festivities. They sounded off in the comments section of the Flip or Flop star position.

One fan wrote, “These bunnies aren’t happy,” to which another fan replied, “I agree. Nothing to do !!”

“Rabbits urinate when they’re scared,” one fan shared. “I hope they were treated humanely. I will never understand why living animals are treated like trinkets 😓”

Another fan echoed the sentiment, commenting, “Why do people rent little animals for parties! Rabbits are clearly scared!

And another fan mentioned animal rights group PETA and called the couple hypocritical, writing, “One way to piss off PETA #hypocrite.”

The ‘Selling Sunset’ star has been a vegan for 12 years

According to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Heather Rae Young has been a vegan for 12 years, and her husband Tarek El Moussa has been “the most supportive person” for her diet. The couple incorporated vegan food into their TV wedding special, Tarek & Heather: The Big I Doreleased in December 2021.

Fans brought up Young’s veganism and treatment of animals in the comments section of his Easter post.

“I know you are vegan and love animals so encourage your followers not to buy bunnies for Easter,” one fan wrote. “They are abandoned en masse after the holidays and the shelters are overflowing. They make amazing pets but are so fragile and live 10-12 years ❤️”

“It makes me really sad 😢 I have a pet rabbit that I rescued 4 years ago. When I see how people treat them like ‘props’ for Easter every year, it makes me want to cry” , another fan commented, “When Easter is over they get dumped or abused. Anyone thinking of “renting” (I can’t even believe I’m using that word for a live animal) or borrowing bunnies for Easter should help out at a rabbit shelter instead. .”

And one fan wrote, “I thought you were vegan and cared about animals? It’s so sad, please do better.
