The Lake County Animal Shelter will be hosting their “Operation Santa Paws” adoption event allowing residents who adopt an eligible pet from December 20-23 to schedule their Christmas Eve arrival on Friday, December 24. There is no additional charge for this special Lake County door-to-door delivery, but space is limited.

In addition, the shelter offers “pawtificates”, gift certificates for pet adoptions to the Lake County Animal Shelter. Pawtificates are available for purchase for $ 10 for two cats or $ 20 for a dog. Animal adoptions include vaccinations, microchip, personalized ID, sterilization or sterilization procedures, and a life of love. Pawtificates do not expire and make great gifts for those considering adopting a pet.

“Our hope through these promotions is to find ‘forever homes’ for our homeless pets this holiday season. We would love for all of our pets to have a home for the holidays, ”said Whitney Boylston, director of the Lake County Animal Shelter.

The Lake County Animal Shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The refuge is closed on Wednesdays and public holidays.
