Visitation for Linda Sue Lang, 74, of Jasper, Texas, will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas. Memorial services at the Women’s Civic Center in Jasper, Texas and Delaware, Ohio will be held at a later date.

Linda Sue Lang, 74, of Jasper, Texas, died surrounded by her family on February 27, 2022. She was born in Marion, Ohio on March 31, 1947 to Carl and Lucille Pollock. She was adopted at the age of 4 by her loving parents Donald and Patricia James. She was from Delaware, Ohio and graduated from Olentangy High School. She was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation for 35 years. While working at ODOT, she met her husband Michael Lang and became the proud mother of two children, David and Kelli. She and her husband moved to Jasper, Texas after retiring in 2004. She was an active member and past president of the Women’s Civic Club of Jasper and the Jasper Art League. She was treasurer and member of the Rock Club of Jasper, a strong supporter of SNIPS of Jasper, City of Jasper TX Animal Shelter, The Dachshund Rescue, Children International, Save the Children and St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She also served on the Jasper County Library Board. She loved books and reading and you could often find her at Barnes & Noble, at a book sale or at the library.

Linda loved to travel! His favorite trips were to Ireland and Austria. She loved the beach and visiting Amish Country in Ohio. She loved adventure with her family and friends; a very special trip was to Disney World in January 2021 with all of his children and grandchildren, including his newest family member Cruz. She loved her family and they always knew how special they were to her. She also loved animals, especially her dog Hunter. She was the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet, always putting others and their needs above her own. If you knew her, you loved her!

She was predeceased by her parents, biological parents, grandparents and two biological siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Michael Lang, Jasper, TX. His son David Lang and his wife Billie of Ostrander, Ohio. His daughter Kelli Marshall and her husband Wayne of Wiergate, TX. Sister Sharon Warner and her husband Daryl of Cardington, Ohio. Sister-in-law Sandra Reed of Jasper, TX. grandchildren Victoria Lang of Ostrander, Ohio; Justin Lang and his wife Cruz of Columbus, Ohio; Drew and Brendon Marshall of Wiergate, Texas. Niece Laura Rankin and husband Ryan of Columbus, Ohio. Nephew Doug Warner and wife Mariah of Bucyrus, Ohio and 1 great nephew, Eli. Aunt Barbara Cannon and her husband William from Delaware, OH. Cousins ​​Rik James and wife Karen of Bozeman, MT; Nancy Jo Wycoff of Delaware, Ohio. Other extended family Hazel Aldridge, Frances Wingo and George Pollock. Many friends including his best friends Denise Milton, Shari Gunter, Sandy Lyon and Diane Gretencord; her devoted friends Darlene Nolan and Marilyn Ratcliff; and all of her Women’s Civic Club sisters.

She would like to thank Olive Branch Hospice and her nurse Kim for the end-of-life care they provided to her.
