Looking for a puppy with a full tank of energy? Shasta is your daughter!

The 8-month-old Retriever mix came to the Houston Humane Society from another shelter.

Volunteers say Shasta LOVES to play in the water – she will love playing in the dog pools and swimming! She also enjoys fetching, running, and spending time with her humans.

Shasta qualifies for this year’s Clear the Shelters event – her adoption fees are 50% off until August 31!

Meet Shasta at the Houston Humane Society, located at 14700 Almeda Rd. in southwest Houston, open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. If you would like to welcome Shasta into your home, you can start the adoption process by completing this form.

Follow-up of the KPRC 2 Pet project: Miles

Miles and his new furry friend! (KPRC/Houston Humane Society)

A few weeks ago we met Miles, the pup who is a master of joy.

Miles was part of the Houston Humane Society Pawsome Camp, a Houston Humane Society program where children and teens learn about companion animal care and animal science. His new family found him while one of their children was attending camp and falling in love!

Their love will go for miles! The family told HHS they would keep the name because it suited them!
