KANSAS CITY – Sosland Publishing Co. announced on October 2 that G. Michael Gude has been appointed Interim Editor of Cooking & Snack magazine. Additionally, Dan Malovany has been appointed interim editor-in-chief of the publication.

Mr Gude and Mr Malovany have been appointed to acting positions with the departure from the company of Paul Lattan as editor and Joanie Spencer as editor to pursue other interests.

M. Gude, who is also editor of News from the milling and baking industry and Food sector news magazines, has been with Sosland Publishing since 1980 and has spent several years as the publisher of Cooking & Snack.

The monthly publication focuses on equipment and ingredient technology, plant characteristics and industry trends.

the Cooking & Snack the editorial team has over 50 years of combined experience in the bakery industry and includes:

  • Mr. Malovany, who until recently was managing editor of Cooking & Snack, has been part of Sosland Publishing Co. for over 10 years and has covered the wholesale bakery industry for over 30 years. He is a former editor of the publication.
  • Charlotte Atchley is Editor-in-Chief at Cooking & Snack, a position she has held since 2014. Ms Atchley joined the magazine in 2011 as Associate Editor and also served as Associate Editor in 2013 before assuming her current role.
  • Nico Roesler, Managing Editor, joined the Cooking & Snack team as IBIE editor in 2016 and managed all special projects related to IBIE 2016.
  • Anna Wiber is the digital media editor of Pastry & Nibble. She has been with Sosland Publishing Company since 2014, covering both the retail and wholesale bakery industry.
