LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Salem man accused of pinning a female victim between the car he was driving and another vehicle during a domestic matter has had his case referred to the county grand jury.

Eric Greathouse, 29, South Lincoln Avenue, has dropped his preliminary investigation on a felony domestic violence charge. He was also bound by charges of operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI), breath OVI and driving under suspension. The charges all relate to an incident on May 25 in Salem when he was allegedly intoxicated and pulled his car forward as the victim stood near another vehicle, pinning her between the bumper, then turned around and hit a utility pole while heading south on Lincoln. .

Ryan Thompson, 40, listed as homeless in Salem, had his case referred to the county grand jury for disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and two counts of fourth-degree felony against a peace officer. The charges stem from a May 27 incident in the 600 block of East Second Street at Call Sign Alpha when Thompson allegedly tried to gain access to the gun store, then showed signs of impaired driving and attempted to get away from the officers. After being detained he allegedly made multiple threats to officers, fire medics and EMT personnel, then when he was taken out of the cruiser he threw both legs and kicked foot to patrolman John Brooks, then spat in the face of fire inspector Derek Day.

Timothy Wirtz, 46, of Lowellville, had his case referred to the grand jury on charges of forced prostitution, third degree felony, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, fourth degree felony, possession of criminal tools, a fifth degree felony felony and a misdemeanor of engaging in prostitution. Wirtz allegedly solicited sexual behavior from an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as an adult woman in exchange for $80 and also allegedly solicited sexual behavior from a 15-year-old female friend of the adult, expecting to meet them both when he arrived in Salem on May 30 with cash and his cellphone.

Preston Beagle, 33, of East Fifth Street, Salem, had his case referred to the grand jury for larceny, fourth degree felony and offenses of obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
