He has a great personality and loves socializing with other dogs.

pet of the week is Hollister Animal Shelterit’s Rudy.

He is a young Doberman Pinscher mix who loves the company of other dogs and is great when he meets new people.

Rudy came to the shelter in early June when a concerned citizen saw him wandering alone near Fallon Road, shelter staff said.

“Rudy was very shy around the staff and was treated for a severe flea infestation which left his rear end completely bare,” shelter staff said. “After some time and medical attention, Rudy’s quirky personality started to shine!”

He is ready and waiting to share his friendly attitude and beautiful coat with his family forever.

If you are interested in adopting Rudy, Hollister Animal Shelter requires that all potential adopters complete and submit an adoption application to shelter staff. While awaiting approval of the submitted application, Hollister Animal Shelter asks the prospective adopter to come meet their potential new pet. If the prospective adopter has other dogs at home, they should bring them to meet their potential new pet to make sure everyone gets along. If the shelter staff and the adoptive applicant feel that a shelter pet will be suitable for the household, the adoption will be approved.
