JACKSON, MI – The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two.

Taz is a 12 year old male brown and gray tiger cat. He is very friendly and will come and greet you when the door to his cage is opened. This older gentleman was handed over by his owner who could no longer afford to take care of him. He seems to get along well with other cats and enjoys attention.

Lucky needs luck as he’s looking for a new home. He is a solid gray with green eyes and has been declawed on the front paws. he’s 12 and a cool guy who likes to take a nap.

Domestic cats can live up to 20 years, so these guys probably have some wonderful years of old age ahead.

A meeting with a dog is compulsory. A tour of the cat room is available to test the reaction. The dog adoption fee is $ 150 for medium and large dogs and $ 250 for puppies and small dogs, which includes vaccinations, microchip, and sterilization.

The cat adoption fee is $ 60 for one cat, $ 80 for two, which includes applicable tests, vaccines, and sterilization.

It’s always best to visit the shelter, but other adoption resources include online apps at https://www.co.jackson.mi.us/2302/Our-Adoptable-Animals, by faxing 517-780-4750 or by emailing [email protected]
