The Park County Animal Shelter will host an Easter Eggstravaganza from 2-4 p.m. Saturday.

You can enjoy an Easter egg hunt that starts at 2:30 p.m., photos with the Easter bunny, egg decorating, crafts and games. The event is offered free to the community, but a $5 donation per child or pet food donation is recommended. People are asked to bring their own Easter baskets for the egg hunt.

The event is the latest in a long series for the shelter.

“We are truly dedicated to preserving quality life and existence for all companion animals,” the shelter states in its mission statement.

On April 3, the shelter hosted a Trap Neuter Return clinic, a widely adopted and nationally recognized approach to caring for unsocialized cats by ensuring they are neutered (neutered or neutered), vaccinated and returned. in their outer houses. The shelter cared for 16 cats from two locations. A cat, while in her care, gave birth to several kittens who are now in foster care and are being well cared for.

“We hope our community will join us in the Easter fun,” said Outreach Coordinator Jackie Hinther. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without our incredible community. Come see our beautiful facility, our adoptable animals and have fun with the family.
