SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Volunteers and adoptable pets at Tri-County Animal Rescue Center get into the spirit of the spooky season with a collection of Meowloween & Howl-o-ween Trick-or-Treat supplies.

Adoptable Tri-County pets will be “trick or treat” for special treats throughout the month, seeking donations of items the shelter needs to support its operations.

Secretary and Board Member Debbie Stephens said the project was led by volunteers from Clarion University, who also created the graphics for the treat drive.


Each graphic shows different animals and lists the “treats” in the form of supplies the shelter needs.

Donations for the drive can be dropped off at the rescue center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Donations can also be sent directly to the shelter at 9562 Route 322 , Shippenville, PA 16254.

“We hope people will consider helping our adoptables with these gifts,” Stevens said.

The Tri-County Animal Rescue Center will also have a booth on the Fall Leaf Festival Farmers and Craftsmen Day on Friday, October 8, and volunteers will have some of the adoptable dogs in the festival leaf tournament parade. of the autumn leaf on Saturday, October 9.
