Saturday October 16
Softball game with guns and hoses
2 p.m. Come join the Cornelius Police Department and the Cornelius-Lemley Fire Department for our annual Guns & Hoses charity softball game. A circuit derby will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the softball game will begin immediately thereafter. Cheer on your local first responders as they compete for the Guns & Hoses Trophy. There will also be activities for children, food trucks and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will go to the Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center and the Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund. 11 am-6pm. Families and their dogs on a leash can enjoy live music, a beer garden, food trucks, a dog fancy dress contest, canine nature trails, a barking lot. (Pet Products and Services Vendors Market), Backyard Animal Ambassadors, Animal Ambassador Presentations, Adoptable Animals, Kids Activities, and Pumpkin Painting.
Admission is $ 5 per person with children 1 year old and under and dogs free. The dog friendly event calls for all dogs to be kept on a leash, be well behaved and fully vaccinated. Rescue Ranch, 1424 Turnersburg Hwy., Statesville.

October 16: Enjoy live music, food and a dog costume contest at the Rescue Ranch Dogtoberfest
Bailey’s Glen hosts Palooza Craft Fair
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Over 40 artisans will be selling their work in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Preferred species. Some artists will accept credit or checks. A portion of the proceeds will go to Hinds Feet Farm, a facility dedicated to people living with permanent brain damage.
12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Festival at DaVeste Vineyard, 155 Lytton Farm Rd., Troutman. Food trucks, crafts.
Sunday 17th October
Children in America, a tribute to the 80s. 6 pm to 8 pm on The Village Green in downtown Davidson.
